Return Policy
Try it, love it, or send it back. Here's how returns and warranty work.
30-Day Return Window
You have 30 days from the date your bag is delivered to start a return. We want you to love it. If it is not the right fit, return it for a refund in original, unused condition with all tags, packaging, and accessories included.
Restocking Fee
A flat $20 restocking fee applies to all returned bags. We cover the cost of return shipping, so you don't have to print labels, pay at the post office, or chase a courier. We send you a prepaid return label by email, you ship the bag back, the $20 fee is deducted from your refund.
Includes prepaid return shipping label. No surprise charges, no trips to UPS, no out-of-pocket cost. The fee is deducted from your refund.
The $20 fee covers the cost of return shipping, inspection, cleaning, and repackaging required to verify the bag is in resellable condition. It applies once per returned bag, regardless of order value.
Return Conditions
To qualify for a refund, the returned bag must be:
- In unused condition, with no signs of wear, scuffs, or use
- Returned in the original packaging, with all dust bags, tags, charging cables, and accessories
- Initiated within 30 days of the delivery date
- Shipped back using the prepaid label we provide, within 14 days of label issue
Bags showing signs of wear, damage, or misuse caused after delivery are not eligible for refund and will be returned to you at our cost. Final-sale items, gift cards, and accessories marked non-returnable cannot be refunded.
How to Start a Return
Starting a return takes 60 seconds:
- Visit returns.rachelbloom.com and enter your order number and email.
- Select the bag(s) you want to return and a reason.
- Confirm the $20 restocking fee will be deducted from your refund.
- We email you a prepaid UPS label within 1 business day.
- Drop the package at any UPS location, or schedule a pickup.
Once your return is received at our Columbus, Ohio facility, we inspect it within 3 business days and issue your refund.
Refund Timing
Refunds are issued to your original payment method within 3 business days of inspection. Depending on your bank or card issuer, the refund typically appears in your account within 5 to 10 business days after we process it.
You'll receive a confirmation email when the refund is issued, including a clear breakdown showing the bag price minus the $20 restocking fee.
If you paid for expedited or overnight shipping at checkout, those charges are not refunded. Free standard shipping orders are refunded the full bag amount minus the $20 restocking fee.
Defective & Wrong-Item Exceptions
The $20 restocking fee does not apply in the following cases. You will receive a full refund or free replacement, and we cover all shipping costs:
- Your bag arrives damaged or defective from manufacturing
- We shipped the wrong item
- Your bag is covered under our 1-year limited warranty for a technology defect
For damaged or wrong-item shipments, please contact help@rachelbloom.com within 24 hours of delivery with your order number and photos. We'll resolve it the same business day.
1-Year Limited Technology Warranty
Every Rachel Bloom smart bag includes a 1-year limited warranty (365 days from order date) covering manufacturing defects and technology malfunctions related to:
- The fingerprint lock and biometric sensor
- The integrated GPS module and Bluetooth pairing
- Internal electronics, battery, and charging port
If a covered fault develops within this period, we'll repair or replace the technology at no cost to you. Cosmetic wear and accidental damage are not covered.
Extended 3-Year Warranty (Optional)
At checkout, you can upgrade to a 3-year extended warranty for an additional $100. This extends your total technology coverage from 1 year to 3 years.
The extended warranty includes:
- All technology components covered for the full 3 years
- Priority repair and replacement service
- No additional repair fees during the coverage period (shipping not included)

Out-of-Warranty Repairs
If your bag develops a technology issue after the 1-year warranty (or after a 3-year extended warranty) has ended, we still offer repair service. The flat repair fee is $125 per repair, plus shipping in both directions.
Email help@rachelbloom.com with your order number and a description of the issue, and we'll send instructions for sending the bag in.
International Returns
International orders are eligible for return within 30 days of delivery, however the customer is responsible for return shipping costs back to our Columbus, Ohio facility. The $20 restocking fee still applies and is deducted from the refund.
